Easter Reset: Come Back to Your Breath, Your Heart, Your Peace

With the Easter holidays approaching, life can feel beautifully full… but also a little overwhelming.

Between family time, travel, social plans, and holding everything together, it’s easy to forget about the most important person in all of it… you.

This is your gentle reminder to take a little time for yourself.
To pause.
To breathe.
To come back home to your body.

When we slow the breath, we activate the parasympathetic nervous system , the part responsible for rest, repair, and restoration. It’s where calm lives. Where clarity returns. Where your body remembers that it is safe.

And the most beautiful part? Your breath is always available to you.

So wherever you are ,on the beach, by the pool, or even taking five quiet minutes to yourself (yes, we’ve all been there) ,you can return to yourself.

Let’s begin.

A Gentle Breathwork Practice

Always find a comfortable seated position. Sit upright, allowing your spine to lengthen naturally.

Close your eyes, or soften your gaze ,whatever feels right for you.

Bring your awareness to your breath.

Inhale through your nose…
Exhale through your mouth.

Begin to deepen the breath slightly, allowing it to travel all the way down into your belly… and then gently release.

If it helps, place one hand on your belly and one on your chest. Notice which one moves first.

Allow the belly to rise first ,this is where deeper, more nourishing breath begins.

Now simply observe.

Your breath coming in… and flowing out.
The inhale becoming the exhale… the exhale becoming the inhale.

There is no rush. No effort. Just flow.

Take a deep breath in through your nose…
Hold for a count of 3…
Then release slowly, as if breathing out through a straw.

At the bottom of the breath, pause… and notice how you feel.

Now move into a gentle rhythm:

Inhale for 4…
Exhale for 4…

Smooth. Soft. Rhythmic.

Breathing in… 2, 3, 4.
Breathing out… 2, 3, 4.

This is where you begin to enter a state of heart coherence, a space where the heart and mind come into sync, creating a sense of inner balance.

As you continue…

On every exhale, allow your body to soften just a little more.
Let the shoulders drop. Let the jaw relax. Let go.

On every inhale, imagine you are breathing in peace.
You might even visualise a colour — your personal colour of calm — flowing into your body.

On every inhale, it spreads through every cell.
On every exhale, you release anything you no longer need.

Breathing in peace…
Letting go…

Stay here for 5–10 minutes.

And then notice.

Calmer.
Softer.
More grounded.
More present.

Why Music — Especially House Music — Deepens the Practice

Breathwork becomes even more powerful when paired with music. Music is one of my great loves so it's such a joy to use it therapeutically .

Rhythmic sounds , especially house music, provide a steady, repetitive beat that your breath can naturally sync with. This helps guide you out of the busy mind and back into the body.

House music often sits within a tempo that mirrors a steady, regulated heart rhythm, making it easier to find a smooth and consistent breathing pattern.

The layered sounds and uplifting energy can also support the release of dopamine and endorphins — your feel-good hormones — helping you feel lighter, more open, and more connected.

It becomes less about doing breathwork… and more about experiencing it.

Let the music carry you.
Let your breath move with it.
Let your body soften into the rhythm.

Create Your Own Moment of Calm

This is the beauty of breath work, this practice is yours to take anywhere.

On a sun lounger.
By the sea.
In a quiet corner of your home.
Or in any small moment you can claim for yourself.

It doesn’t need to be perfect.
It just needs to be yours.

And when you allow yourself this time , to breathe, to soften, to reconnect , you return to everything else feeling more present, more energised, and more at ease.

Wrapped in pieces that feel effortless and comfortable, like those from Naia Beach, your body is free to relax… to let go… and simply be.

Because you deserve moments like this, and we are all guilty of neglecting ourselves due to our busy lives.

Moments of stillness.
Moments of breath.
Moments of peace. Moments for you.
